I ran my finger across the pencil one, you did. Plus I already framed them and hung them up. What is hilarious is that my oldest son (5 years old) was almost brought to tears from the drawings hahah. He said they scared him lol, such a sweet little guy :)

Awesome stuff! Hey, you still working as an RN? Full time, part time, per diem?

Has your income from art helped you cut back RN work? I'm also an RN (6 years in) and plan to get out of it and into art full time. The days off right now help a ton right!

I do occasionally do the RN gig here and there but for insurance purposes only. Surprisingly I make more money as a professional artist, but the additional income on the side is nice for video games I wanna buy.

I keep up with my RN duties though because art careers are very volatile. Always good to have a safety net. People are always sick and dying.

Cool, I really just want out of nursing, its beat me down! I was think of at least keeping my license current and doing per diem work if needed, wife is an RN too. I still don't know exactly where I want to end up with art, anywhere really but talking dream job and all...

It's encouraging to hear you make more with art knowing what RN's make :)

Keep it up man, love your style :)

Ha, I was gonna tell you that you should put together some sketch books for sale... Well I just ordered up Vol II/III :)

Yeah, in a dream world, I'd be doing art 100%, but with a child and wife to care for, I need to make sure I can support them with insurance.

Depending on how the Cyanide and Happiness show does, I may be closer to that goal in the next year or so. Definitely keep up with your RN stuff. Being a professional artist and making a career out of it is risky and at any time can just disappear. Staying per Diem will help and allow you time to expand your art career goals.

I really am lucky and fortunate to have the gig I have. Glad to hear you picked up two books! I'm currently working on a hardback, not sure when it'll ever make it out though.
